Okay, so it's not exactly the "first day" but it really is for us. The kids went, backpacks and lunch boxes at the ready, out the hotel lobby this morning heading to school the second year in a row. I am so fortunate to be able to take my kids to school with me for Pre-K!!! We absolutely LOVE our teacher...Miss A!!! She is WONDERFUL!!! The kids were a little confused as to why we weren't at OUR school. Today is the first day teachers have access to the school and it is still under finishing touches on the construction end of things. Not exactly ready for kids just yet. So we met Miss A, although we've met her a few times before so no surprises there at all, at one of the other schools in the neighborhood just a mile down the road. The kids seemed to have a great day. Even with a lot of prodding, they really wouldn't say a lot about what they did. Little Miss A said she made a friend like K, but she didn't know her name. (We'll work on asking about that tomorrow.) Mr. D was just glad that there were boys to play with. (This from the little boy that had boys ALL last year to play with, unlike his sister without a single gal pal to hang with.)It's so hard to believe it's that time of year again!!! Where in the world did the summer go

Ahhhh!! It's making me nuts reading this!! Too soon for school! Glad we have a few more days. We have Meet the Teacher tonight and JM has requested I bring my camera! haha She knows the drill!! I was considering not taking it til she asked! I didn't want to embarrass her with my photo needs!
too cute! looks like they're off to a great start! they both look too grown up in their picture . . . where is the time going? so glad you'll be so close to your house now! it's going to be a great year for all of you . . . just don't forget to pencil some time in your schedule for us! we already miss you!
